Hello! It’s that time of year again when love is in the air! ❤️ Here at The Brick Nests, we are looking forward to the sweet holiday of Valentine’s Day and being with the ones we love–friends, family, and of course our husbands! We are also thinking about what we’ll be wearing out for our romantic date nights with Drew and Stew. 💘 We have serious fashion crushes on these clothes, shoes, and accessories, and hope they will provide you with a little inspiration for your Valentine’s outfit!

Jillian’s Outfit
As much as I covet a lacy short-sleeve top or dress this time of year, it is unfortunately just too cold for those choices! Instead I decided to go for a warm and soft sweater with an off-the-shoulder cut that makes it worthy of a date night. This sweater is so cozy and perfect for snuggling up with my Valentine, but still looks polished and appropriate for a night out. For a festive look I paired the white sweater with some fun Valentine’s Day red jeans (similar), and tied them in with a bold red lipstick. 💄💋 I adore my new ruffled booties that I mentioned falling in love with in this post. I also found these cute earrings that were perfect for the occasion. I thought the earring design was a little 1980s, kind of like the one-shoulder sweater. Lastly, this animal print clutch pairs beautifully with this outfit. Now I am date-night ready!
This post wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t share my newest home decor crush too. I recently added this bar cart to my casual dining area right off my kitchen. I love this beautiful ratan cart and find I am mostly decorating it seasonally instead of using it as an actual bar cart (although when I am entertaining it does come in handy). The small size and informal material bring just the right touch of whimsy and function to this space. 💐🥂🍾💕

Everything’s coming up roses with my outfit this Valentine’s day! I fell madly in love with this deep rose top (similar) because of the beautiful and romantic statement sleeves. I wanted to balance the volume of the sleeves by wearing wide-leg denim trousers. I’m big on comfort, and let me tell you, these jeans are so comfy! They are like leggings at the top so there’s no pinching or gaping. I paired the clothes with dusty rose suede mules with a pretty ruffle detail, and added a pair of fun, sparkly hoop earrings encrusted with florets made from blush rose sequins and beads. And yes, I borrowed my daughter’s glitter heart purse, which makes for a festive clutch! It would also make for a very cute Valentine’s gift (similar) for any sweet little girl in your life. A swipe of rich rose lipstick (my shade is 303) completes the look. Now all I need is a bouquet of a dozen actual roses, and I’m ready for a romantic night out! 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
Wishing you all love, friendship, romance, and lots of style this Valentine’s Day (and every day!). Sending hugs and kisses to all our readers–we love you guys! 🤗😘
